About Foster Pepper PLLC

Lawyers in Foster Pepper PLLC's Construction Group provide breadth and depth of experience to our public and private clients in the areas of construction contracting and construction litigation/alternative dispute resolution. We have a long history of representing public owners, contractors, subcontractors, private owners and developers, suppliers, design professionals, and lenders in all aspects of construction law.

Our services for these clients cover the spectrum of general counsel work, construction contracting, dispute resolution and litigation, and specialized services attuned to particular client needs.

Foster Pepper's construction lawyers have provided in-house training and telephone consultations to help public and private clients to avoid or reduce construction claims in the first place and if they do occur, to resolve them quickly as they arise during the course of construction, so that in many cases, clients can avoid lengthy claims and disputes after project completion. We also provide handbooks and checklists so clients can establish inexpensive and efficient lien filing and other procedures to meet statutory or regulatory project requirements.

Foster Pepper’s construction lawyers are well versed in insurance law and often consult with our insurance coverage lawyers to obtain maximum recovery or protection for our clients. Many construction disputes involve property damage and other losses that are covered by the owner, contractor or subcontractors' insurance policies, and many times we have been able to procure coverage for losses and litigation costs that greatly improve the outcome of disputes for our clients. Because of our coverage successes, Foster Pepper clients frequently hire us for coverage advice even when another firm is handling the underlying lawsuit.
